Korea Aerospace Industries announced on the 10th that it has signed an extension contract to supply horizontal stabilizer (tail structure) components for the Boeing B737MAX.

This contract extends the existing agreement to supply horizontal and vertical stabilizer assemblies for the B737MAX from 2022 to 2026. The extension period is six years, from 2027 to 2032. The contract value is 1.1268 trillion won.

The B737MAX is the latest model of the medium-haul cooperative passenger aircraft developed by Boeing. It can accommodate up to 230 passengers.

Korea Aerospace Industries has maintained a collaborative relationship with Boeing for over 20 years, starting with the delivery of wing skeleton structures for the B737 NG aircraft in 2004.
