Doosan Fuel Cell(336260) shares are surging in early trading on the 7th. Buying is seen pouring in after analysts in the securities industry said uncertainty over mid- to long-term growth eased as the company won an order to supply fuel cells for U.S. data centers.
As of 9:19 a.m. on the day, Doosan Fuel Cell shares were trading at 51,100 won on the main bourse, up 16.53% (7,250 won) from the previous session.
NH Investment & Securities raised its investment opinion on Doosan Fuel Cell on the day to "Buy" from "Hold." It also lifted its target price by more than 70%, from 34,000 won to 58,000 won.
Jeong Yeonseung, an analyst at NH Investment & Securities, said this was "because we raised our 2027 revenue estimate by 32% from the previous figure, reflecting fuel cell orders headed to the U.S."
Doosan Fuel Cell won an order, through its U.S. affiliate, HyAxiom, to supply fuel cells for data centers worth 501.4 billion won.
Jeong added, "It is estimated that a higher unit price than recent domestic orders was applied," and noted, "This order also confirms that phosphoric acid fuel cells (PAFC) can enter the U.S. data center power market."
