Daol Investment & Securities is accelerating the buildout of a "two-way global investment platform" in partnership with U.S. online broker Interactive Brokers (IBKR).
Daol Investment & Securities said on the 7th that on the 3rd it held a business agreement ceremony with global online broker IBKR at the Daol Investment & Securities headquarters in Yeouido. Founded in 1977, IBKR is a global electronic securities firm focused on electronic trading technology and automation. Its market capitalization is about 230 trillion won.
The platform the two companies have built is "DAOL Fi PRO." ▲ Customer authentication and single sign-on (SSO) ▲ electronic signature ▲ order execution and settlement ▲ funds and ledger management, and other end-to-end transaction processes are integrated into a single service, making it the first outbound commercial model in Korea.
They said it is differentiated from existing overseas partnership models that were limited to simple overseas order relays or content provision, in that it builds a global trading infrastructure optimized for institutions and professional traders and allows retail investors to easily use that environment.
Daol Investment & Securities plans to expand services to more than 170 global markets covered by IBKR and to gradually widen the range of financial products, including derivatives. It will also flesh out plans to expand inbound services with IBKR.
Based on this, the company envisions developing DAOL Fi PRO into a two-way global platform that connects both "Korea to Global," where Korean investors access global markets, and "Global to Korea," where global investors access the Korean market.
