Woori Bank said on the 6th that it launched "Woori Team Korea Installment Savings 2" to support national team members competing at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
Woori Financial Group(316140), an official sponsor of the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee (KSOC) and the national team, released its second Team Korea installment savings following the Winter Olympics earlier this year.
Team Korea installment savings is a 12-month, free-installment product that allows deposits of up to 300,000 won per month. On top of a base annual rate of 3.0%, customers can get up to an additional 4.5 percentage points in preferential interest for a maximum rate of 7.5% by meeting certain conditions.
The preferential rate varies by participation in cheering, the national team's results, and transaction performance.
If a customer posts at least one comment on the cheering board, which can be used once per day, they receive a 0.2 percentage point preferential rate. As total cheering comments reach 100,000, 200,000, 300,000, and 400,000, the preferential rate increases, up to a maximum of 1.0 percentage point.
If the national team finishes first overall, customers receive a 1.5 percentage point preferential rate; for second place, 1.0 percentage point; and for third place, 0.5 percentage point.
Customers who did not hold any Woori Bank deposit or installment savings products in the previous six months receive 1.0 percentage point, and those who did not have a Woori Bank account as of the last day of the previous year receive 1.0 percentage point in preferential interest.
A bank official said, "We planned this product to cheer on the athletes' sweat and moments of challenge together with customers."
