DB Life said on the 1st that on the 31st it finally recommended Park as the next CEO through the Nominating Committee.
The CEO appointment is set to be finalized on the 16th after a shareholders meeting and a board meeting.
Born in 1963, the new CEO Park graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in business administration and joined DB Insurance in 1991. Park is regarded within the group as a planning and strategy expert who worked for about 35 years across corporate, new business, and corporate planning. Since 2020, Park has served as head of new business at DB Insurance (executive vice president), and since Dec. 2022 as head of corporate planning (executive vice president).
A DB Life official said, "Park has long-standing experience and expertise across the insurance industry," adding, "Based on that experience, Park is expected to help DB Life leap forward as a sustainable company with profitability and soundness."
