The Export-Import Bank of Korea said on the 30th that it donated 200 million won to help people displaced by the massive flooding that struck Nepal's Bagmati Province on the 26th.
The Export-Import Bank of Korea's donation will be delivered to Nepal through the Korean Red Cross. The funds will be used for emergency support for local victims, including operating temporary shelters and providing relief supplies, medical aid, and food.
The large-scale flooding in Nepal's Bagmati Province caused heavy casualties, with deaths and missing persons mounting. Nine Korean nationals have been out of contact for five days.
Bank President Hwang Gi-yeon said, "We offer our deepest condolences to the people of Nepal who suffered great losses from this flood," and added, "We hope this support will help residents quickly return to normal life, and we earnestly pray for the safe return of those who are missing."
