The global animation studio Studio Mir(408900) said on the 27th that it released the official teaser video for the Netflix original animated series "Bass ex Machina" on the 21st.
Bass ex Machina is an animated series inspired by Bass Reeves, the legendary lawman of the American West. Set in the American West after the Civil War, it tells the story of the protagonist "Bass" as he faces outlaws, machines and supernatural threats. It presents a distinctive story through a universe that combines steampunk and sci-fi elements on a Western foundation.
The newly released teaser features major scenes from the work, including gunfights, a train chase and battles against massive machines set against the vast West. In particular, viewers can glimpse the world and tone of the work through the protagonist Bass's dynamic action using a mechanical arm and the signature visuals of steampunk.
In this project, actor Brian Tyree Henry voices the protagonist Bass while also serving as an executive producer. Global actors including Janelle Monáe, Tati Gabrielle and Cree Summer joined the voice cast.
Since the teaser's release, Studio Mir's production capabilities have also drawn attention from overseas media. Foreign outlets noted that Studio Mir handled animation production for this work. They cited its track record on numerous global animation projects, including "The Legend of Korra," "Voltron: Legendary Defender," "X-Men '97" and "Devil May Cry."
A Studio Mir official said, "We have built production experience through global projects spanning diverse genres and universes," adding, "With Bass ex Machina, we will once again demonstrate our competitiveness as a global animation studio by realizing a unique universe and dynamic action."
Bass ex Machina will be released worldwide on Netflix on Nov. 3.
