Buoyed by a surge in large semiconductor stocks, the KOSPI index is widening its gains on the morning of the 20th.
As of 11:15 a.m., the KOSPI index is up 6.22% (402.30 points) from the previous trading day at 6,873.47.
The main board is being led by foreigners and institutions. Foreigners have a net purchase of 623.3 billion won and institutions 354.1 billion won, while individuals have turned to net selling, offloading 1.38 trillion won.
Large-cap stocks on the main board are all rising. Samsung Electronics(005930) and SK hynix(000660) are up 9% and 12%, respectively. SK Square, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Hyundai Motor, LG Energy Solution, Samsung Biologics, Hanwha Aerospace, and Samsung C&T are also climbing across the board.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ index is up 15.89 points (1.93%) from the previous trading day at 840.35.
The KOSDAQ market is being led by individuals and institutions. Individuals have a net purchase of 61.9 billion won and institutions 53.4 billion won, while foreigners alone have a net purchase of 122.3 billion won.
Top KOSDAQ market-cap stocks are mostly rising. With Alteogen, EcoPro, EcoPro BM, Rainbow Robotics, Jusung Engineering, Wonik IPS, LEENO Industrial, EO Technics, and ABL Bio advancing, HLB alone is falling.
