The Financial Supervisory Service said on the 17th that it will hold an international conference with Ewha Womans University on climate risk management in the financial sector.
The conference, to be held on the 2nd of next month, will be attended by domestic and foreign financial supervisory authorities and financial companies. They plan to discuss the role of future climate finance in the low-carbon transition era.
To encourage the low-carbon transition, the conference will share foreign financial authorities' policies on transition finance and strategies for responding to climate risk, and also introduce the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS)'s climate scenario setting and stress test plans.
After the conference, an "AI challenge competition" to help young people enter the future and green finance fields and recruitment briefings by 15 large financial firms are scheduled.
