Financial information company FnGuide said on the 4th that it released a methodology for evaluating digital assets. It is the second digital asset framework following the "K-DACS (Korean Digital Asset Classification Standard)," a digital asset classification system unveiled in March.

The methodology applies evaluation methods used for traditional financial assets to digital assets. Based on K-DACS, it is designed to compare the characteristics of digital assets that fall within the same asset class and have similar functions and intended uses.

The evaluation system consists of five indicators commonly applied to all digital assets and three indicators reflecting characteristics by asset class. The common evaluation indicators are market accessibility, market liquidity, technological security, operational stability, and community scalability. Weights are assigned to each indicator to derive a final rating.

FnGuide plans to sequentially disclose evaluation results for individual digital assets based on this methodology. Related evaluations and detailed methodologies can be found on the digital asset information platform "Crypto Guide."

It will also support cooperation between overseas digital asset corporations and domestic corporations. The plan is to expand data-based information services to reduce information asymmetry in the digital asset market and contribute to revitalizing the industry.

An FnGuide official said, "Following K-DACS, we have established a foundation for providing objective and reliable digital asset data by preparing a digital asset evaluation methodology," and added, "We will contribute to the sound growth of the digital asset market and investor protection based on objective and transparent data."
