The visual effects (VFX) corporations M eighty-three(476080)'s subsidiary P&T LINK is estimated to have posted first-half revenue this year that nearly matches last year's full-year results, helped by expanding investment in artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, it said on the 28th.
P&T LINK handles infrastructure businesses such as AI servers and storage within the M eighty-three group. Together with the AI research and development subsidiary Dblat, it forms M eighty-three's AI business portfolio.
The company said the first-half revenue increase reflects server and storage supply volumes secured at the beginning of the year being booked in results. P&T LINK supplies high-performance server equipment for building graphics processing unit (GPU) servers to domestic platform and cloud corporations, including Naver Cloud and Kakao.
P&T LINK is expanding its customer base, which had centered on platform and cloud corporations, to the financial sector. According to the company, it recently supplied GPU servers for operating AI services to multiple insurers, securing delivery performance in finance. P&T LINK plans to broaden its client base to banks, card companies, securities firms, general corporations, and research institutions.
M eighty-three expects P&T LINK's server supply volume to grow as domestic corporations increase AI infrastructure investment. If major clients such as Naver continue to invest in AI data centers and computing infrastructure, it could positively affect future earnings growth.
