Bitcoin is moving sideways around the $66,000 level.
As of 8:10 a.m. on the 23rd, on CoinMarketCap, a global digital asset quote site, bitcoin was at $66,038, down 0.29% from 24 hours earlier. Around 7 a.m. that day, the bitcoin price fell to $65,967 before edging higher.
At the same time, other digital assets were slightly higher. Ethereum, the No. 2 by market cap, was up 0.96% at $1,935. Binance Coin was down 0.18% at $570, and Ripple was up 0.17% at $1.14. Solana was trading at $77.8.
Crypto prices appear to be weakening as international oil prices surge on rising tensions between the United States and Iran. In the market, if the Federal Reserve decides to raise the benchmark interest rate on the 28th, there is an outlook that bitcoin will fall further.
