Financial information firm FnGuide will appoint Jeon Min-seok, head of corporate strategy (executive vice president), as the new CEO and shift to a co-CEO structure. The company said it plans to speed up expansion of artificial intelligence (AI)-based financial information services and new businesses while improving management efficiency.
FnGuide said on the 7th that its board meeting on the 6th appointed Executive Vice President Jeon Min-seok as the new CEO.
Accordingly, the company will move from a sole-CEO system under CEO Lee Gi-tae to a co-CEO system with CEOs Lee Gi-tae and Jeon Min-seok, each representing the company independently. CEO Lee will oversee external sales, while CEO Jeon will oversee overall management.
The company said it plans to strengthen responsible management and improve decision-making efficiency through the co-CEO structure.
Jeon joined FnGuide after handling sales and sales planning at Nongshim and LF Corp. Since then, as head of the corporate strategy division, Jeon has overseen overall management control, including human resources and finance, and investor relations (IR).
In particular, while strengthening communication with investors, Jeon led the discovery of new businesses by expanding cooperation with key client companies and partners. Jeon is also credited with helping secure future growth engines by advancing AI-based financial information services and driving digital transformation.
A FnGuide official said, "We expect CEO Jeon Min-seok, based on the management experience and expertise accumulated over the years, to contribute to the company's continued growth and strengthening of future competitiveness together with CEO Lee Gi-tae."
