Blockchain infrastructure technology corporations DSRV moved to expand into the African digital infrastructure market, including Ethiopia, using know-how built in Madagascar.
DSRV said on the 7th it will discuss ways to expand cooperation with African countries such as Ethiopia at a forum to be held at its headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on the 15th, hosted by the Korea Fintech Industry Association (KORFIN). The forum was arranged to seek diversification of overseas expansion for domestic technology corporations.
Earlier, DSRV, with support from the Korea-World Bank Partnership Facility (KWPF), completed a pilot of the Malagasy government's digital agriculture voucher system. With this result, the company plans to carry forward follow-up cooperation with other African governments.
At the forum, cases of Official Development Assistance (ODA) support in the digital sector and public-private collaboration will be covered. Starting with a presentation by the World Bank on the status of cooperation with Ethiopia as the first item, The Export-Import Bank of Korea and National Information Society Agency (NIA) will share policy directions for artificial intelligence (AI) and digital ODA. Then, presentations will follow on global expansion cases by leading corporations in Blockchain, finance, and cybersecurity, including DSRV and BC Card.
Starting with this forum, DSRV plans to accelerate the establishment of a model for exporting digital infrastructure. In particular, the company will link ODA policies to flesh out a foundation that enables domestic corporations to enter global markets stably.
Seo Byung-yoon, DSRV co-CEO, said, "Africa is the world's youngest continent and a market with strong growth potential, and we first confirmed that potential in Madagascar," adding, "With this forum as a starting point, DSRV will take the lead in creating a leading case of Korean-style digital infrastructure exports through joint efforts by the public and private sectors."
