The Financial Services Commission said on the 5th that it will hold the "2026 joint financial sector job fair," the largest hiring event in the financial sector, at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul on Aug. 19–20.
A total of 82 financial institutions will participate, including 15 banks, 16 insurance companies, 9 securities firms, 12 card and capital companies, 20 state-run financial companies, 4 foreign firms, and 6 associations. It is the largest ever since the first event in 2017. The fair will feature programs aligned with each stage of job preparation, including on-site interviews and mock interviews, hiring counseling, conferences, and job experience.
Starting today, the fair's website will provide the "Financial sector job white paper 5.0," which includes hiring information and strategies for each participating financial institution. The "Financial sector job prep All in one class," which offers mock tests and explanatory lectures reflecting financial-sector written exam types such as the National Competency Standards (NCS), will also run in advance.
There will also be a "current employee job coaching chat," which allows real-time online communication with current employees by sector, and a real-time communication community for job seekers. Starting this year, a "one-stop AI job solution" that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to let users experience everything from cover letter analysis to mock interviews, and a "current affairs/issues trainer," in which AI selects and summarizes frequently asked finance, economy, and policy issues for interviews and supports training to master them, will newly operate.
Video content such as the "current employees' job success stories in the financial sector," which contains job success strategies from current financial-sector employees and information on role-based competencies, is also prepared. On-site, 12 banks in total will conduct on-site interviews. Applications can be made on the fair's website from the 8th to the 20th of this month, and only those who pass the document screening can participate.
If selected as an outstanding interviewee, the applicant will be exempted from the document screening once when applying for the institution's open recruitment in the future. In addition, mock interviews, real-time video interviews, an open mock interview for the financial sector, tailored hiring counseling for young people, and job consulting will also be offered. Conferences and lectures by current employees of financial institutions and job experts will be held. On-site programs can be pre-registered on the fair's website starting Aug. 6.
