Nuvotec rose sharply early after news that it was selected as the contractor for SK hynix's resource-circulation project for waste medicine containers.
As of 9:52 a.m. on the 30th, on the KOSDAQ market, Nuvotec was trading at 1,807 won, up 217 won (13.65%) from the previous session.
That day, Nuvotec said it was finally selected as the contractor for SK hynix's resource-circulation project for waste medicine containers.
According to the company, under this contract Nuvotec will handle the collection, transport, and recycling of waste medicine containers for advanced processes, such as waste acid and waste alkali, generated at SK hynix's Icheon and Cheongju business sites, as well as at the Yongin semiconductor mega cluster to be developed.
The company plans to process the secured volume through resource-circulation procedures at the Munmak plant in Gangwon Province, and expects it will help secure a long-term revenue base as semiconductor production expands.
Nuvotec is a resource-circulation company focused on water and sewage infrastructure and pipeline reinforcement and rehabilitation. The company plans to use this contract to expand synergies between its designated waste treatment business and its existing infrastructure business, strengthening its eco-friendly circular economy operations.
