Shinhan Financial Group said on the 28th that starting on the 29th it will launch "SCoRE AI," which combines generative artificial intelligence (AI) with the group's joint internal control platform, the "Shinhan Accountability Execution Management System (SCoRE)."
Shinhan Financial Group has proactively established a group-level internal control management framework, beginning with Shinhan Bank, which in September 2024 became the first in the industry to introduce an accountability structure map.
The new system supports the practical fulfillment of duties by the executive who bears final responsibility for internal controls by having AI summarize and analyze inspection activities across multiple departments. ▲ It provides per-executive accountability item checks and automatic verification of supporting documents ▲ objective evaluations of thoroughness through summaries and analyses of inspections by responsible departments ▲ periodic collection and briefings on external issues such as financial incidents, sanctions, and legal revisions. Based on this, the system has a management framework that allows executives to register directives and reflect them in inspection items. The system can be jointly used by group companies and can be expanded with various AI agents.
This is the first in the industry to combine a Generative AI with an internal control platform, and Shinhan Financial has also applied for a patent on the related core technology. In line with the official launch, the company plans to train employees and sign a business agreement with BAE, KIM & LEE LLC to receive regular updates on financial regulatory trends, among other steps to enhance system utilization.
