Mirae Asset Securities will buy back and cancel 300 billion won worth of its own shares.
Mirae Asset Securities said on the 17th that its board of directors voted to purchase 300 billion won in treasury shares.
According to Mirae Asset Securities, the size of this buyback is the largest ever. It is about three times the previous record of 103 billion won.
Specifically, it will buy 200 billion won of common shares, 10 billion won of class 1 preferred shares, and 90 billion won of class 2 preferred shares. Mirae Asset Securities explained this is a measure "considering a reduction in the valuation gap between common and preferred shares and balanced enhancement of shareholder value."
Mirae Asset Securities plans to cancel all the treasury shares acquired this time.
