The KOSPI index continued its gains in the 7% range on the morning of the 12th, crossing the 8,360 level. In particular, it appears to be supported by foreigners and institutions each continuing net purchases of more than 1 trillion won.
As of 11:12 a.m. that day, the KOSPI index was up 594.16 points (7.65%) from the previous trading day at 8,358.11.
The main board is being led by foreigners and institutions. Foreigners are net buyers of 1.2478 trillion won and institutions 1.5856 trillion won, while individuals alone are net sellers of 2.6923 trillion won.
Blue chips by market capitalization on the main board are all rising. Samsung Electronics is posting gains in the 11% range, and SK Square is also up in the 10% range. SK hynix, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Hyundai Motor, LG Energy Solution, Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung C&T, and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries are also gaining.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ index was up 43.63 points (4.38%) from the previous day at 1,040.56.
The KOSDAQ market is being led by institutions. While institutions are net buyers of 199.7 billion won, individuals and foreigners are net sellers of 90.2 billion won and 106.5 billion won, respectively.
Top KOSDAQ stocks by market capitalization are also rising. With Wonik IPS surging more than 26%, Alteogen, EcoPro BM, EcoPro, Rainbow Robotics, Kolon TissueGene, LEENO Industrial, EO Technics, and HLB are gaining. Jusung Engineering alone is falling.
