Samil PwC said on the 5th it carried out personnel appointments for 33 new partners and new heads and deputy heads.
Samil PwC held a partners' general meeting on the morning of the day and made the decision.
Samil PwC promoted Partner Jeong Min-su to head of the tax advisory institutional sector. Jeong, the new head, is an expert with 30 years of hands-on experience who served as head of the domestic taxes group and has shown outstanding capabilities across all areas of tax advisory. Jeong also led the development of the tax-specialized Generative AI "Tax Agent." In 2025, this expertise and leadership were recognized when The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants named Jeong "Person of the Year."
For deputy heads, it promoted Partners Gwak Yun-gu, Kim Kyung-gu, Daniel Fertig, Lee Jun-ho, Choi Chang-yun and Hong Jin-o.
Samil PwC said the newly appointed partners this year include experts in promising industries such as semiconductors, telecommunications and insurance; cross-border M&A and global PE advisory experts; tax experts in amended return requests and tax appeals; and talent who will lead AI and digital transformation, such as building Generative AI and software-as-a-service (SaaS) business models.
