Buysell Standards, which runs the security token offerings (STOs) platform PIECE, raised 5 billion won in Series A funding.
Buysell Standards said on the 28th that it completed a 5 billion won Series A funding round from Xperix Group, S&S Investment, and SK Securities. Xperix Group and SK Securities joined as strategic investors on the premise of co-developing products, while S&S Investment joined as a financial investor.
Buysell Standards plans to use the funds to acquire new underlying assets, design and launch products, recruit talent, and obtain licenses.
Shin Beom-jun, CEO of Buysell Standards, said, "With the legalization of security token offerings (STOs) and the distribution infrastructure in place, and now partnerships to push commercialization together, it is time to be validated in the market with real products," adding, "We will swiftly materialize products across diverse asset classes, from patent rights to corporate finance to cross-border, and secure early market leadership as a multi-asset issuer."
Meanwhile, Buysell Standards is one of seven fractional investment corporations approved for business restructuring by the Securities and Futures Commission of the Financial Services Commission, and it is the only multi-asset issuer. It issues various real-world assets with high scarcity—such as physical goods, artworks, vessels, and intellectual property rights—as security token offerings (STOs).
