The MG Regional Hope Sharing Foundation (KFCC Foundation) will roll out a support program for children with disabilities and their family members, funded by 200 million won in donations.
On the 28th, the KFCC Foundation said it held a ceremony to launch the "MG Disability Family Support Program" with the Purme Foundation.
The MG Disability Family Support Program goes beyond simple medical and livelihood assistance to focus on the emotional recovery and growth of the entire family. The KFCC Foundation has completed the selection of 101 children in total and plans to support both the development of artistic talent in children with disabilities and psychological and educational support for their non-disabled siblings.
In the category supporting art activities for children with disabilities, up to 4 million won in activity expenses will be provided for gifted children with artistic potential, and up to 1.5 million won for children beginning art.
Non-disabled siblings will receive up to 1.5 million won for psychological therapy and education expenses. The aim is to create an environment in which all family members can be cared for together.
Kim In, chair of the KFCC Foundation, said, "For children with disabilities, we wanted to offer opportunities to realize their potential, and for siblings, time to care for themselves," adding, "The foundation will continue to provide support so that families with disabilities can be each other's pillars and grow in good health."
