Standard Chartered Bank Korea said it successfully hosted a "masterclass" on the 15th with world golf legend Coach Park Se-ri.
The masterclass is a private banking program in which Standard Chartered Bank Korea brings in top leaders from each field to provide various lectures and experiences for ultra-high-net-worth individuals with assets of 1 billion won or more.
This masterclass was held under the theme of "leisure and sports," which draws strong interest from clients. In particular, Coach Park Se-ri, the first client of Standard Chartered Bank Korea's private banking center and a living legend of Korean golf, took part in person, drawing an enthusiastic response from clients.
The Highlight of the day was a close-contact "one-point lesson" session for select clients chosen by an on-site drawing. Coach Park Se-ri carefully analyzed each invited client's swing and provided tailored coaching. After the lesson, a signing event and commemorative photo session followed for all attendees.
Standard Chartered Bank Korea also runs several programs for the children of high-net-worth clients. From July 31 to Aug. 2, for three days and two nights, Standard Chartered Bank Korea plans to host the "2026 Global Future Leader Program (GFLP, Global Future Leader Program)" at its headquarters for the children of high-net-worth clients. Under the theme of "Next Generation," this event—one of the benefits being prepared—will be a differentiated global mentoring camp program in which current students from the United Kingdom's top elite universities, Oxford and Cambridge, participate directly as mentors.
Participating students will work with mentors to internalize "thinking skills, inquiry skills, and problem-solving approaches" in depth and gain an opportunity to expand their thinking as global leaders. In addition, they can choose a tailored track—▲ natural sciences/engineering and medicine ▲ social sciences ▲ humanities—according to their aptitudes and interests and experience a specialized curriculum.
Applications for the program will be accepted from June 1 to June 30, and a total of 40 middle and high school students who are children of clients with deposits of 500 million won or more in assets at Standard Chartered Bank Korea will be selected.
Sachin Bambani, deputy CEO for high-net-worth and wealth management at Standard Chartered Bank Korea, said, "We will continue to introduce differentiated services that reflect the diverse perspectives of high-net-worth clients and the needs for the next generation, setting the standard for next-generation private banking."
