Koscom said on the 13th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Woori Investment & Securities for cooperation on digital asset and security token offerings (STOs) businesses.
The two companies plan to join forces based on Blockchain technology and financial investment capabilities to build a cooperative framework for pushing ahead with the security token offerings (STOs) business.
Koscom is continuing cooperation on a security token offerings (STOs) platform business with multiple securities firms, including Daol Investment & Securities, Kyobo Securities, and iM Securities.
In addition, Koscom has expanded the foundation for security token offerings (STOs)-related businesses, including building an STO issuance platform with LG CNS; conducting a testbed proof with the Korea Securities Depository (KSD) for aggregate volume management; performing proof of concept (PoC) for stablecoin-based atomic settlement technology; and participating in the Korea Exchange (KRX) fractional investment distribution platform "KDX Consortium."
Koscom President Yun Chang-hyun said, "The joint platform for security token offerings (STOs) is efficient, as it is designed so that securities firms can use a stable issuance infrastructure together," and "we will continue to advance the market infrastructure for security token offerings (STOs) through cooperation with market participants."
