Shinhan Bank kept its hold on Seoul City's treasury manager post.
Seoul City said on the 12th that as a result of convening the "treasury designation review committee" to select the next city treasury bank, Shinhan Bank received the highest score for both the primary and secondary treasuries.
The city said that after receiving proposals from the 4th to the 6th of this month, Shinhan and Woori Bank submitted proposals for the primary treasury, and KB Kookmin, Shinhan, Woori, and Hana Bank submitted proposals for the secondary treasury. The treasury designation review committee evaluated the primary and secondary treasury proposals according to six evaluation items set by the local government ordinance.
In the primary treasury evaluation, Shinhan Bank ranked first with a total score of 973.904 points and was selected as the preferred designee. For the secondary treasury as well, Shinhan Bank received a total score of 925.760 points and ranked first. Based on this evaluation, the city plans to officially announce the treasury designation results next week.
Shinhan Bank has come to manage the primary treasury for 12 consecutive years since 2019 and the secondary treasury for eight consecutive years since 2023.
