Kiwoom Asset Management said on the 4th that CEO Kim Ki-hyeon joined the relay campaign to eradicate illegal cyber gambling among teenagers to raise awareness of its dangers.
The relay campaign to eradicate teenage gambling was launched by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency to raise awareness of the dangers of illegal cyber gambling targeting teenagers and to prevent the spread of harm.
Participants post a verification photo with the message, "Illegal cyber gambling targeting teenagers is a scam crime you can never win," and nominate the next participant.
Kim joined the campaign after being nominated by Bae Jae-gyu, CEO of Korea Investment Management. Kim recommended Cho Hwi-seong, CEO of Kyobo AXA Asset Management, as the next relay participant.
Kim said, "Illegal cyber gambling targeting teenagers forms a distorted financial perception and is a very serious problem that can undermine society as a whole," adding, "I hope this becomes an opportunity for teenagers to deeply recognize the dangers of gambling and for society's response to eradicating illegal cyber gambling to be strengthened."
