Kakao Pay Securities said on the 30th that CEO Shin Ho-cheol joined a relay campaign led by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency to eradicate "illegal gambling among teenagers."
The campaign was organized to raise awareness of the dangers of illegal online gambling spreading among teenagers and to prevent harm by heightening vigilance across society.
Shin joined the campaign after being nominated by Nam Gi-cheon, CEO of Woori Investment & Securities.
Kakao Pay Securities plans to recommend Kim Seung-yeon, CEO of Next Securities, as the next participant.
Shin said, "Illegal online gambling targeting teenagers is a serious social problem that threatens the daily lives and growth of future generations," adding, "Kakao Pay Securities will also continue to participate in social activities to spread a sound financial culture and protect teenagers."
