An error occurred in the Meritz Securities mobile trading system (MTS), causing difficulties for investors. Complaints were raised that they could not buy or sell stocks in time because they could not log in.
According to the financial investment industry and others, from 2 a.m. on the 29th for 50 minutes, a login error occurred in the Meritz Securities MTS.
According to Meritz Securities, the error was caused by a simple authentication server failure. A Meritz Securities official said, "As an error occurred on the simple authentication server, there were parts where login or access was not possible," adding, "Those who were already connected had no problem trading, but those who were not logged in had difficulty trading."
On online communities, posts such as "Why is Meritz access like this," "It was restored in a few minutes during the last incident," and "I will claim damages" were uploaded.
Earlier, on the 9th, there was also a transaction delay due to a system error in the Meritz Securities home trading system (HTS) and MTS. At that time, for about 30 minutes after the market closed, a login failure and transaction delays occurred.
