Korea Investment Management said on the 29th that it won awards including in the "ETF manager of the year" institutional sector at the "2026 ETF Awards" held in Hong Kong on the 28th.
The 2026 ETF Awards is a ceremony organized by Asia Asset Management (AAM). AAM, founded in 1995, is a journal specializing in financial investment that mainly covers trends among institutional investors, including asset management and pension funds, in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Each year, it evaluates the achievements of asset management institutions by country and selects award-winning institutions and recipients.
Starting this year, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) were separated into a standalone awards ceremony. The winners were announced on AAM's website in March, and the ceremony was held in Hong Kong on the 28th.
Korea Investment Management received a total of four awards at this ceremony. The biggest among them is "ETF manager of the year." This institutional sector selects winners based on a comprehensive evaluation of contributions to the ETF ecosystem, including not only product returns but also the launch of products that meet market demand and investor education conducted both online and offline.
In addition, the ACE Global Semiconductor TOP4 Plus ETF won "theme ETF of the year," and the ACE KRX Gold Spot ETF won in the "commodity ETF of the year" institutional sector.
Bae Jae-gyu, president of Korea Investment Management, received the "Lifetime Achievement Award," akin to a special achievement award, in recognition of introducing ETFs to Korea and helping grow the market.
A Korea Investment Management official said, "It seems our efforts to conduct investor education—such as investor seminars, publishing guidebooks, and YouTube content like 'ACE Curiosity Solutions'—while supplying needed products to customers in a timely manner led to this award," adding, "We will continue to steadily supply products that enable long-term investment in areas with future growth potential and work to enhance customer value."
