The Korea Accounting Standards Board said on the 24th it appointed Song Gi-myeong, vice president of the Korea Exchange (KRX), as a nonstanding member of the Sustainability Standards Board (KSSB).
The Korea Accounting Standards Board said it held a board meeting on the 21st and, following personnel changes for the exchange-recommended nonstanding member, appointed Vice President Song, newly recommended by the chair of the Korea Exchange (KRX), as the successor nonstanding member of the KSSB.
Commissioner Song's term runs from the 21st to April 20, 2029.
Commissioner Song Gi-myeong earned a bachelor's degree in English from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and a master of business administration from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland in the United States. At the exchange, Song served as Director General of the stock market department, the bond market department, and the innovation growth support department, then as deputy head of the KOSPI market division, and currently serves as head of the KOSPI market division.
The Sustainability Standards Board (KSSB) is a private deliberation and decision-making body established to develop sustainability disclosure standards, and is composed of a Chairperson, standing members, and seven nonstanding members.
