The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants said on the 22nd that it held a meeting to mark the launch of four certified public accountants' associations in the Incheon region.
The meeting was held on the 20th at Incheon Chapelle de Mian, inviting members and office staff in the Incheon area. Co-hosted with the four regional certified public accountants' associations in Incheon, the meeting was prepared to discuss ways to revitalize the Incheon Regional Certified Public Accountants' Association, which launched at the end of December last year.
About 60 people attended the event, including President Choi Un-yeol of The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, National Assembly member Park Chan-dae, executives of the main association, members belonging to the Incheon region, and employees of accounting firms and private offices.
In a welcome address, President Choi said, "I am pleased to meet you, members in the Incheon area, after the busy audit season," and added, "The regional network activation project is one of the main initiatives of the main association, and I ask for your active participation and interest."
Park said, "As a certified public accountant from the Incheon area, I support the revitalization of the Incheon Regional Certified Public Accountants' Association, which launched at the end of last year, and I look forward to active community participation and social contribution activities by certified public accountants."
At the meeting, opinions were presented on items such as ▲ electing regional association executives ▲ establishing an action plan to boost community participation ▲ the need for regular in-person activities.
Meanwhile, The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants plans to identify exemplary operating cases of regional certified public accountants' associations through ongoing nationwide meetings with regional members and to disseminate and develop them to other regional associations. On the 22nd of next month, it will hold the first meeting of the presidents' group of regional certified public accountants' associations.
