Shin Jung-hyeon, the second son of Kyobo Life Insurance Chairman Shin Chang-jae and head of digital strategy at Kyobo Lifeplanet, has moved to SBI Savings Bank.
According to the financial sector on the 22nd, SBI Savings Bank created a "synergy team" under its corporate strategy division and the previous day appointed Shin, the Deputy Minister, as the inaugural Head of Team.
The new organization and personnel move follows Kyobo Life Insurance's inclusion of SBI Savings Bank as a subsidiary. Recently, Kyobo Life Insurance acquired "50%+1 share" of SBI Savings Bank's equity. Head of Team Shin is expected to focus on integration effects and creating synergies between the two companies.
Born in 1983, Deputy Minister Shin graduated from Columbia University in the United States, then worked at SBI Insurance and SBI Sumishin Net Bank before joining Kyobo Lifeplanet in 2020. Since then, Shin has served as manager and Head of Team in the digital strategy institutional sector.
