Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) said on the 20th it appointed Vice President Yoo Il-gwang as the new senior executive vice president.
Yoo joined Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) in 1994 and held key posts including head of the ethical management office, head of the management support group, and head of the retail customer group. Having proven practical skills and leadership, Yoo is seen as having a strong grasp of overall bank management activities.
Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) said Yoo, while serving as head of the retail customer group, effectively responded to the government's policy of "inclusive finance" by easing the financial expense burden on retail customers. As head of the management support group, Yoo also made major contributions to strengthening the bank's competitiveness by enhancing employees' job capabilities and boosting organizational vitality.
An Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) official said Yoo is "the right person to both respond effectively to the government's policy expectations, including productive finance, based on a deep understanding of internal and external issues, and lead the bank's sustainable growth."
