Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants (KICPA) said on the 10th that it held a roundtable in Jeju City, Jeju Island, jointly with the Jeju Certified Public Accountants Association, for Jeju members and employees of accounting firms and offices.
About 60 people, including Chair Choi Un-yeol of The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants and KICPA executives, as well as members and executives and staff affiliated with the Jeju region, attended the event.
At the meeting, participants discussed ways to revitalize the Jeju Certified Public Accountants Association, which officially launched in November last year.
Choi Un-yeol, chair of The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, said, "As this is the first time we have arranged a venue to meet not only Jeju members but also employees of accounting firms and offices together, we intend to actively listen to practical difficulties in the field."
Choi added, "Through this, going forward KICPA will improve its operations in a member-friendly way, and the Jeju Certified Public Accountants Association will take the lead and work together to enhance accounting transparency across the local community."
