SamilPwC said on the 13th that it decided to supply its self-developed artificial intelligence (AI)-based internal control automation solution to PwC overseas local firms in the form of software as a service (SaaS).
According to SamilPwC, this is the first case in which a knowledge-based AI solution independently developed by a domestic accounting firm has been exported overseas through a global network.
In Korea, the service has been released under the name "K-SOX Hub" to help respond to the internal accounting control system (K-SOX) and is being provided to corporations.
The solution supplied to overseas local firms is a system in which AI automatically evaluates the adequacy of corporations' internal control operations. Previously, internal control evaluation was performed manually, requiring significant time and manpower, but this solution automates repetitive testing procedures.
In particular, SamilPwC noted that the risk management and internal control field functions as a "global common language" that transcends countries and industries.
Hong Jun-gi, head of the audit division at SamilPwC, said, "It is significant that we have implemented a solution that overcomes national and language barriers by combining internal control expertise with AI technology, and that we have presented a new innovation model by moving beyond the traditional advisory-centered business model to the overseas commercialization of an independent AI solution," adding, "We will actively push to expand services not only to PwC member firms but also to overseas corporations."
