Koscom said on the 10th that it held an extraordinary shareholders meeting on the 8th and appointed Kim Seong-hwan as the new executive managing director.
Born in 1967, Executive Managing Director Kim graduated from Gyeongbok High School and the Department of Economics at Kyung Hee University, and earned a master's degree in economics from the same graduate school.
After working at Hyundai Group and Koryo Securities, Kim joined Koscom in 2000 and served as head of external cooperation and head of corporate planning, among other roles.
Most recently, Executive Managing Director Kim served as chief information security officer (CISO) at Korea Exchange (KRX).
Koscom said, "Executive Managing Director Kim, during the tenure as head of the digital business division, is credited with successfully establishing key projects that will drive Koscom's future growth, including stabilizing financial cloud services, building a MyData intermediary infrastructure, and developing a joint token securities (STO) platform."
