Shinhan Investment & Securities said on Apr. 8 it will run three new retirement pension events to enhance asset management convenience for retirement pension customers and support stable pension asset building.
The events are for customers of individual retirement pension (IRP), defined contribution (DC) retirement pension, and default option (pre-designated management) products, and are open to new subscribers as well as those who re-enroll or transfer assets.
First, through the "Tax-saving handsome season 2 IRP event," customers who newly open or reopen an IRP account will receive a 10,000-won Shinsegae Department Store gift certificate. Customers who wish to participate must deposit at least 100,000 won in the opened account, and the event runs through Jun. 30.
Customers who transfer an IRP account from another financial institution to Shinhan Investment & Securities, or who make an additional deposit into an existing IRP account, will also receive a Shinsegae Department Store gift certificate worth up to 30,000 won.
A "DC new welcome event," which provides a 30,000-won Shinsegae Department Store gift certificate to customers who newly enroll in the DC-type retirement pension by the end of the year, is also underway.
Customers who newly designate a default option for their retirement pension account will receive a Mega Coffee coupon.
In addition, Shinhan Investment & Securities provides digital pension content such as in-person consulting services with more than 100 experts from Shinhan Premier Pathfinder for pension asset management, a monthly model portfolio (MP), and AI-based personalized product recommendations.
Park Se-hyeon, head of the retirement pension business division at Shinhan Investment & Securities, said, "Because retirement pensions are key to long-term asset management, we plan to continue expanding customer-tailored services and various marketing activities."
