As expectations grow that the United States and Iran will negotiate, prices of virtual assets such as bitcoin are rising.
According to CoinMarketCap, a global virtual asset market tracker, as of 8 a.m. on the 7th, bitcoin was transacting at $68,917 per coin. It was up 3.27% from a week earlier and 0.83% from 24 hours earlier.
Around the same time, ethereum was at $2,110. It rose 3.89% from a week earlier and 1.21% from 24 hours earlier. BNB was $601.09, up 0.78% from 24 hours earlier; XRP was $1.32, up 0.98%; solana was $80.35, down 0.16%; and tron was $0.31, down 0.86%.
U.S. President Donald Trump set 9 a.m. on the 8th, Korea time, as the deadline to conclude negotiations with Iran. Iran said it would not accept the mediation plan but increased traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. On expectations for talks, the Nasdaq composite index on the New York stock market closed at 21,996.34, up 117.16 points (0.54%) from the previous session.
