Korea Exchange (KRX) said it will hold a prize event with Samsung Securities and Kiwoom Securities from the 6th to the 17th for customers who newly open and transact gold spot accounts and for those who make transactions.
The event was prepared to raise investors' interest in the KRX gold market and expand investment demand. The KRX gold market is the only domestic on-exchange gold spot trading market where gold can be traded like stocks, and Korea Exchange (KRX) opened it in March 2014.
During the event period, prizes will be offered to customers who newly open or make transactions in gold spot accounts at Samsung Securities and Kiwoom Securities. Customers who transact 10g or more will be entered into a drawing for a 10g gold bar worth about 2.7 million won, and those who transact 1g or more will be entered into a drawing for a 3g gold bar worth about 800,000 won. In addition, customers who newly open a gold spot account will receive an e-gift card worth 10,000 won.
Korea Exchange (KRX) said, "To provide accurate information about the KRX gold market and strengthen awareness, we plan to continue various marketing activities, including participation in personal finance expos and investor education and briefings."
