The virtual asset market is mixed. The price of Bitcoin is moving sideways at the $68,000 level despite hopes that the Middle East war will ease.
As of 8 a.m. on the 2nd, on CoinMarketCap, a global virtual asset market tracker, Bitcoin was down 0.05% from 24 hours earlier at $68,089. After regaining $68,000 the previous day, the Bitcoin price has been flat.
At the same time, No. 2 by market capitalization, Ethereum, was up 2.1% at $2,138. Binance Coin was down 1% at $610, and Solana was down 1.95% at $81, respectively. Ripple was trading up 0.9% at $1.34.
U.S. President Donald Trump on the 1st (local time) said, "The president of Iran's new regime has just asked the United States for a cease-fire," signaling the possibility of an end to the war. Iran's Foreign Ministry, however, countered, "Trump's remark that Iran requested a cease-fire is false." Still, optimism that cease-fire talks will continue persists.
