Toss Bank said on the 1st that it held a regular shareholders meeting and board meeting at its headquarters on Teheran-ro in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on the 31st and approved the agenda to reappoint CEO Lee Eun-mi. Lee will continue to lead Toss Bank for the next two years. The term runs from that day through Mar. 31, 2028.
Since taking office in Mar. 2024, Lee has been credited with successfully improving Toss Bank's fundamentals. In Lee's first year as CEO, Toss Bank turned an annual profit for the first time. Last year's profit more than doubled from the previous year.
Lee said, "The essence of a bank is trust with customers," and added, "We will do our best to build an unshakable foundation of trust by further strengthening the basics such as internal controls, system stability, and financial soundness and stability."
At the shareholders meeting that day, Kim Hee-dae, a partner attorney at Daeryook & AJU LLC, was reappointed as an outside director and audit committee member, and Park Wi-geun, chief administrative officer (CAO) of E-Land Group, was newly appointed as an outside director and audit committee member.
