Shinhan Investment & Securities said on the 25th that it signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with tax firm DLG to strengthen its Shinhan Premier Haengbog Ieum Trust, a trust service specialized in inheritance and gifts.
Launched in 2025, Shinhan Premier Haengbog Ieum Trust is a trust service that designs one-on-one customized asset succession plans according to client needs through will-substitute trusts and gift trusts.
Through this MOU, Shinhan Investment & Securities has established a system to continuously resolve various tax issues related to Shinhan Premier Haengbog Ieum Trust. It also plans to continue cooperating on developing business models for will-substitute trusts.
According to Shinhan Investment & Securities, tax firm DLG is composed of veteran tax accountants from the National Tax Service and major accounting firms with extensive hands-on experience, including responses to tax audits. It has proactively entered new financial institutional sectors such as virtual asset, Fintech, and will-substitute trusts, providing top-tier professional tax consulting services in the industry.
Kwon Young-dae, head of investment products at Shinhan Investment & Securities, said, "A will-substitute trust is not a simple asset transfer but an area where meticulous tax review is essential," and added, "Through collaboration with tax firm DLG, which excels in responding to tax audits and consulting in new financial institutional sectors, we will offer trust clients a different level of asset management experience."
