Daishin Securities said on the 24th that, after a regular shareholders meeting and board resolution, it has finally appointed Jin Seung-uk as chief executive officer.
Born in 1968, Jin graduated from Hanyang University with a degree in business administration and joined Daishin Securities through open recruitment in 1993. Having worked there for 30 years, he is what is called a "one-club man."
Jin has served in key posts across the group, including head of strategy support and corporate planning at Daishin Securities, head of corporate planning at Daishin F&I, and CEO of Daishin Asset Management.
In particular, he has played a central role in setting group strategy and managing the business portfolio by overseeing affiliates' corporate planning, including securities and asset management.
Daishin Securities plans to accelerate its mid- to long-term growth strategy with this appointment. The company expects that capital expansion and business structure upgrades will add momentum to its entry into the mega investment bank (IB) tier.
Jin said, "We will strengthen our business competitiveness in response to the rapidly changing financial environment and establish a stable revenue base," adding, "We will drive sustainable growth through customer-centered management and stronger risk controls."
