Alzheimer's blood-diagnosis corporations PeopleBio said the payment for a third-party allotment capital increase worth 3.2 billion won has been completed. RealityGen, an affiliate of Eastern Networks, took part in this capital increase and was added as a new largest shareholder.
PeopleBio said it secured a funding base for financial stability and for strengthening its existing business through this capital increase. The company said that, in addition to advancing its diagnostic technology and research and development (R&D), it also secured the capacity to pursue new businesses such as data centers and AI infrastructure operated by RealityGen, which has been added as a new largest shareholder.
A PeopleBio official said, "We reinforced our financial base by expanding capital and established a structure that allows us to run both our existing bio business and new businesses based on data infrastructure," and added, "Together with the new largest shareholder, we will flesh out our mid- to long-term growth strategy."
