Korea Securities Finance Dream Sharing Foundation said on the 12th that it provided support to improve the educational environment at Jangdaehyun Middle and High School, an alternative school for North Korean defector youth.
On the day, Chair Kim Jeong-gak of the Korea Securities Finance Dream Sharing Foundation attended the "Hope Dream Smart Classroom completion ceremony" held at Jangdaehyun Middle and High School in Gangseo District, Busan.
The foundation installed the Hope Dream Smart Classroom and supported IT education equipment such as a 3D printer and an e-book reader, and it funded the creation of an electronic music room and an outdoor athletic field.
The Hope Dream Smart project is a future-oriented educational environment initiative that installs and supports facilities such as the Hope Dream Smart Library at alternative schools for North Korean defectors so the students can grow into healthy talent.
Starting with Hankeum School in Jun. last year, it supported about 640 million won to six schools, including Banseok School and Dream Middle and High School.
Kim said, "I hope that in the Hope Dream Smart Classroom, students at Jangdaehyun Middle and High School discover their talents and aptitudes, nurture their dreams, and grow up healthily to become leading figures in the future society."
