Korea Exchange (KRX) said on the 5th that it held the 2025 securities market disclosure excellence awards ceremony at its Yeouido headquarters in Seoul.
In the KOSPI market, eight companies, including GS Engineering & Construction, LG Uplus, LG Chem, and Korean Air Lines, were selected as excellent in disclosure, and three companies, including LIG Nex1, were chosen for excellence in English-language disclosure. As an excellent disclosure Commissioner, Bae Deok-ho, a senior manager in charge of disclosure at Lotte Corporation, was selected.
In the KOSDAQ market, two companies, including Korea Alcohol Industrial, were selected as excellent in long-term faithful disclosure, Koh Young Technology was chosen as excellent in IR activities, and 12 companies were picked as excellent in the comprehensive evaluation. In the KONEX market, two companies were selected, including one excellent in disclosure and one excellent in IR.
Companies named as excellent in disclosure receive benefits such as: ▲ deferral of designation as an unfaithful disclosure company (KOSPI·KOSDAQ markets) ▲ exemption from annual training (KOSPI·KOSDAQ markets) ▲ exemption from annual levies and listing fees (KOSPI market, for one year after selection) ▲ reduction of penalty points for unfaithful disclosure (KONEX market).
The exchange said, "We express our gratitude to the listed companies that faithfully fulfilled their disclosure obligations despite a challenging business environment," and added, "We hope you will continue to work to enhance the market's credibility and transparency based on active communication with investors."
