Choi Woo-hyung, president of Kbank, won a second term. He is the first president to secure a second term since Kbank's launch.
Kbank's Nominating Committee disclosed on the 26th that it recommended Choi as the sole candidate for the next president. It said the final candidate was selected after drawing up long and short lists, conducting external reputation checks, and holding in-depth interviews.
The Nominating Committee said, "By significantly expanding customers and deposits and loans, achieving profits in the 100 billion won range for two consecutive years, and improving credit loss expense, Kbank achieved quantitative and qualitative growth at the same time," adding, "Along with strong management results, by demonstrating leadership in key areas such as artificial intelligence (AI) adoption, stablecoins, and non-face-to-face loans for corporations, it contributed to laying the groundwork for capital expansion by pursuing a listing on the KOSPI for Kbank."
Choi's second term will be finalized at the regular shareholders meeting on Mar. 31.
