KDB Life Insurance said it appointed former senior executive vice president Kim Byung-cheol as the new CEO, following approval at an extraordinary shareholders meeting and board of directors meeting held on the 26th.
Kim, the new CEO, was born in 1969 and graduated from Yonsei University, entering the insurance industry in 1999 as an insurance planner. Kim plans to carry out key tasks for business normalization, including building a roadmap from product development to overall sales through the operation of a "third insurance" specialized organization.
A KDB Life Insurance official said, "The new CEO Kim is the right person to solve the immediate challenges facing KDB Life Insurance and strengthen its fundamentals."
KDB Life Insurance plans to formalize the new CEO Kim's specific management vision starting with the official inauguration ceremony in Mar.
