Lotte Card said on the 25th that it convened the Nominating Committee and recommended former Lotte Card Executive Vice President Jeong Sang-ho as the next CEO and president. Jeong, the nominee, is scheduled to be finally appointed through a shareholders meeting and a board meeting to be held on Feb. 12.
CEO nominee Jeong Sang-ho, born in 1963, served as head of the SME business unit at Hyundai Card and head of strategic sales at Samsung Card, then from 2020 to 2023 at Lotte Card as head of the card business division and head of sales.
A Lotte Card official said, "Jeong has successful experience in areas such as sales and marketing based on a strong understanding of the credit card business," adding, "We expect Jeong to set the future growth direction at Lotte Card and lead a recovery in profitability."
