Shares of KOSPI-listed Aekyung Industrial Co. were strong early on the 24th. Buying appears to be pouring in on news that Aekyung Industrial Co. brands were added to Walmart, the largest retail channel in the United States.
As of 9:49 a.m. that day, Aekyung Industrial Co. was trading at 17,720 won, up 1,740 won (10.89%) from the previous trading day.
Aekyung Industrial Co. said before the regular session opened that day that the body care brands "Luvscent" and "Shower Mate" have been added to Walmart in the United States. The brands were added simultaneously to about 600 Walmart offline stores across 48 U.S. states and online.
An Aekyung Industrial Co. official said, "Starting with this Walmart addition, we plan to continue various sales and marketing activities to expand distribution channels in the United States."
